Come and join me on a bite sized tour of the Lagan Towpath!

Having been developed during the 1700s, for centuries the canal played a key role in Northern Irelands Linen industries.

As these industries faded, the canal no longer had a use and since the 1950s, it has slowly but surely been reclaimed by nature.

This interactive map will take you on a tour of the former canal, stopping at each of the 12 Locks between Belfast and Lisburn, in order to learn a little about each location!

Please watch the short tutorial below on how to get started!
